Mama Ruby drifts off in her chair.
After tending to little ones all day,
Blessed sleep knits up the raveled sleeve of care.

S is for Sculpting
S is for Sculpting,
Trying hard to learn a new skill,
Ruby is making some little dolls,
And Dill is making a little Dill!
R is for Reading
R is for Reading, all gather to hear,
A tale of far off adventure,
In their minds the picture becomes clear,
When brought to life by the storyteller!
Q is for Quilting
Q is for Quilting,
Lots of cutting and piecing,
To make something useful from scraps,
Is just inherently pleasing!
P is for Pink

A silly indulgance of the heart,
But when the day will be less than nice,
A little girl moment helps at the start.
And btw – did I say pink?
O is for Oven
O is for Oven, baking a cherry pie,
Dill is all ready to test if he must,
It looks well done to the eye,
But we’ll know for sure by the crust!
N is for Numbers

Important when dividing up a snack,
We practice to remember each line,
Except that someone bored in the back….
M is for Mop
M is for Mop, in the early morning,
Keeping things spick and span,
Ruby asked the little bears to help,
And off to somewhere else they ran!
L is for Letter
L is for Letter, and while Ruby read,
Little bear asked, “Who sends snail mail, today?”
“It’s from one of my cousins,” Ruby said,
“She’s packed all her things and is coming to stay!”
K is for Kiss
K is for Kiss,
We all need one each day,
But if you happen to miss,
Ask for two right away!
